I hope that I am not the only person who is feeling this way. I think that if we have the ability and the techniques to allow students different ways to tell stories, we should try to dig as deeply as possible to get the maximum amount of creative juice out.

DIgital Storytelling
I am finding this class to be very difficult. As an artist, and an educator, you would think that this would be the perfect marriage of both. I am finding that this is not so much the case. While I am having fun doing the specific projects, creatively, there are several ideas that are floating in my head on ways that I could make things more aesthetically pleasing, without compromising the quality of the project. I think that the most difficult thing that I am encountering is organizing my thoughts and putting them down onto paper or onto video.

Being an Art graduate myself, I am also having difficulty with this class. It seems to be a totally different medium. But, I like the challenge. I majored in Photography, Ceramics and Art History. I try to integrate what I have learned in my previous projects to this class. It is very different because the layers of knowledge one would have to learn in Educational Technology must come first. There are a lot of nuiances and "technical terms" that get in the way of exploring your creativity.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone in this situation. I struggle with the various new softwares and it really takes time and practice to even know basic steps. I take it as a new creative challenge. I will learn and adapt to this new method of creativity and aesthetic expression.
